01 Focus on New Challenges and Jointly Discuss New Strategies for Drinking Water Safety

With social development, emerging pollutants in water have become increasingly complex. Professors Zhang Xiaojian and Chen Chao from Tsinghua University served as the Honorary Chairman and Chairman of the conference to jointly address this challenge. This conference focused on discussing detection methods and treatment processes for new pollutants and odor-causing substances in water environments, such as disinfection by-products (DBPs), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs, including antibiotics, etc.), and endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs). Centering on the monitoring and treatment technologies of new pollutants, the conference exchanged cutting-edge progress, discussed practical engineering challenges, and effectively promoted the technological upgrading and innovative practice of the industry.
